General terms and conditions for booking and using LockerHouse lockers
Purpose
These general terms govern the booking of LockerHouse lockers through the website www.lockerhouse.es (the «Website») and their use. They also govern the contractual relationship between LockerHouse (owner of the lockers) and the User who books the locker service.
The service
LockerHouse offers its Users the possibility of renting any of its lockers for periods of hours and calendar days (within the opening hours offered by LockerHouse).
Users may leave their luggage and belongings at the LockerHouse premises, inside the locker(s) booked, exclusively for the booking period contracted.
Once the booking process is complete, Users will receive a booking confirmation code showing the locker number assigned, the duration of the booking and the access code or password for the locker, as set out in the section on access and booking.
What types of lockers does LockerHouse offer?
LockerHouse offers three types of lockers:
- Small lockers, measuring 37 cm (height) x 49 cm (width) x 58 cm (depth). They fit approximately 1 cabin bag and 1 backpack.
- Medium lockers, measuring 47 cm (height) x 49 cm (width) x 58 cm (depth). They fit approximately one large suitcase and 1 backpack, or up to 3 cabin bags and 2 backpacks.
- Large lockers, measuring 85 cm (height) x 49 cm (width) x 58 cm (depth). They fit approximately (a) 4 cabin bags (55x40x20 cm) or (b) one large suitcase (80x55x30 cm).
What can a User put in their locker?
Within the limits set out in this document (see the section on limits on the use of the lockers), a User may store as many items as they wish, within the specified dimensions, so as not to overload the locker.
How can a User find out whether lockers are available?
Through the Website www.lockerhouse.es, Users can check locker availability for the days they want.
How long can the same locker be rented for?
Users may book the locker rental service for a minimum period of 1 hour.
When can the User access the locker(s) they have rented?
The locker rental service will be available to the User on the date and at the time selected.
Once the booking period has ended, LockerHouse will be authorised to open the locker and remove the items. LockerHouse will never open any belongings or access their contents.
It is the User’s responsibility to store their belongings properly packed and not to leave loose items.
Items removed will be kept at the premises for 48 hours, during which time they may be claimed by the User. After this period, the belongings will be deemed abandoned for all purposes; LockerHouse will not assume any responsibility for them and will be free to dispose of them, without the customer having any right to claim against LockerHouse.
Once the User has put their items in, can they only access the locker again to take them out?
No. The LockerHouse service is a locker rental service. The User may access the rented locker as many times as they wish or need during the rental period of the locker(s). So if the User has forgotten something or needs to access their locker during the day, they can do so without any problem during the booked period, using the access code generated and notified when making the booking.
What price does the User pay per locker type/day?
The price per locker will be the one shown on the Website at the time of booking, and the User may benefit from any offers in force at any given time.
The prices shown on the Website include VAT and refer to the rental of one locker (depending on its size) per hour or calendar day.
How are the lockers used?
The lockers offered by LockerHouse are fully automatic. The User can book through our Website www.lockerhouse.es, indicating, in addition to their personal data, the number of lockers they wish to rent, their size and the booking period. Once the booking is complete, the User will receive confirmation of the booking, the number of the locker(s) booked and the security code to access their locker(s).
The User will therefore access their locker using the security code provided by LockerHouse when making the booking.
What can the User do if they have any kind of problem using the locker?
In the event of a breakdown, blockage or any other problem using the locker, the User can contact the LockerHouse support service at info@lockerhouse.es.
Can the User change or cancel their booking?
Yes, as long as the change or cancellation is made 24 hours before the date on which the booked service begins.
To cancel a confirmed booking, the User must contact LockerHouse in writing at info@lockerhouse.es.
Any refund will be made within a maximum of 20 days from the time of cancellation, provided that the User has cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled start date. The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the customer.
Failure by either party to fulfil its obligations under these General Terms will entitle the non-defaulting party to terminate the booking by simple written notice to the defaulting party. The consequences of early termination of the booking due to a breach by one of the parties will be as follows:
In the event of a breach by a User, the booking will end, their belongings may be removed if the User does not do so within 2 hours of being asked, and they will not be entitled to a refund of the price paid for the booking. In the event of damage to the establishment, the facilities or the property of other users, the User will be liable for the damage caused.
In the event of a breach by the Company, it undertakes to refund the User the amount paid online for the booking.
Access and booking
LockerHouse will make its best efforts to offer the Website in optimal conditions of use 24 hours a day and to guarantee, as far as reasonably possible, the security of the Website.
Notwithstanding the above, LockerHouse is in no case responsible for any failure, temporary interruption or loss of content of the Website attributable to third parties or to any unforeseeable event beyond the control of LockerHouse, fortuitous event or force majeure.
LockerHouse reserves the right to temporarily interrupt access to the Website when necessary to carry out maintenance work for as long as necessary, making its best efforts to keep the interruption as short as possible and with the least impact on Users.
To book LockerHouse lockers, the following requirements must be met:
- Be 16 years of age or older.
- Fill in truthfully and accurately the fields indicated in the form in the BOOKINGS section of the Website (in particular: full name, telephone number, email, booking date, hours or days of rental, number of lockers to be rented (indicating the size), and the data required to complete payment according to the payment method used).
- Accept these general terms and conditions of service and use of the lockers.
- Accept the privacy policy of LockerHouse, as the owner of the lockers.
Once the booking process is complete, the User will receive confirmation by email. This confirmation will state the number(s) of the locker(s) assigned, the day(s) booked and the access code(s) for the locker(s).
LockerHouse reserves the right to limit, relocate or cancel the booking in the event of possible mechanical or electrical breakdowns and/or general maintenance, without the User being entitled to claim any compensation in such cases.
If the problem is not solved within that period, LockerHouse will bear the cost of sending the belongings to the address indicated by the User, provided that the User has had to travel without their belongings because of the breakdown. The User will not be entitled to claim any other damages.

User obligations. Limits on the use of the lockers
By booking the LockerHouse locker rental services, the User undertakes, in particular and without limitation:
- To use only the lockers booked and solely for the purpose of storing their own belongings that they need to keep temporarily in a safe place.
- Not to use or leave luggage in a free locker without having made the corresponding booking or without making sure that it is the locker assigned and confirmed by the booking code.
- To check the size of their luggage before booking in order to avoid overloading the locker. No complaint or refund request will be accepted if the luggage exceeds the dimensions of the locker.
- Under no circumstances may the locker be overloaded or items be placed outside the space intended and booked. It is strictly forbidden to leave luggage in a free locker without having booked or without making sure that it is the locker assigned, confirmed and notified when making the booking.
- To use the lockers diligently. In particular, and without limitation, the User undertakes not to overload the locker and to make sure that the locker has been properly closed when leaving the premises (after putting items in or taking them out).
- To notify LockerHouse immediately of any damage or abnormal situation relating to the lockers. For example, an abnormal situation would be finding the locker booked by the User occupied by another user’s belongings or items, in which case the User undertakes not to remove the forgotten belongings. Failure to comply with the obligations in this section will result in a penalty for the User of up to 500 euros.
- Not to use the lockers for illegal or unauthorised purposes. In particular, the User undertakes not to store items whose mere possession or trade is illegal (such as stolen goods, drugs, pornographic material or material that is in any way degrading to human beings, etc.).
- To store belongings properly packed.
- Not to store any item whose possession requires a licence without such licence or authorisation (such as weapons).
- Not to put any polluting or dangerous material in the lockers (such as flammable objects or hazardous substances).
- Not to use the lockers to store animals or any kind of living being.
- Not to put food in the lockers, unless it is packaged food that cannot spill, stain the lockers or produce odours of any kind.
- Not to give their security code to any third party, being fully responsible for any breach of this obligation and its consequences.
- Not to use the lockers to leave items to be collected by a third party. The lockers must not be used as a means of exchanging goods between parties. LockerHouse does not authorise this use.
- To remove the items placed in the rented locker(s) before the hour or day on which the rental ends.
- To leave the lockers, at the end of the service, in the same condition in which they were found and, in particular, to notify LockerHouse at info@lockerhouse.es of any problem found in the use or condition of the lockers.
- Not to take photographs or videos inside the LockerHouse premises and, in particular and without limitation, not to photograph or record their security mechanisms.
- Not to put valuables in the lockers, such as money, jewellery, technology items (tablets, computers, televisions, etc.), or any document they may need to identify themselves or travel (such as identity documents or tickets). To this end, the User undertakes to take all necessary precautions and measures to make sure they have not left any travel document or other valuable item in the locker.
LockerHouse will in no case be responsible for missed flights, trains or any other travel ticket of the User resulting from leaving tickets or identity documents in the locker(s). Nor will LockerHouse be liable for the loss of any item with a unit value of more than 1,000 euros. Consequently, the User will be solely responsible for leaving such documents and items of special value or necessity in the rented lockers contrary to these General Terms.
Consequences and liability of the User in the event of breach of their obligations
The User must hold LockerHouse harmless from any damage arising from the breach of their obligations under this contract.
Failure to comply with the rental period
In particular, if the User does not empty the rented locker(s) on or before the end date of the rental, LockerHouse will be authorised to access the lockers and remove the items stored, in order to free them up for ordinary use by LockerHouse customers. In that case, LockerHouse will store the items temporarily and try to contact the User who has exceeded the rental period to arrange the return of the items (the cost of which will be borne 100% by the User).
If 48 hours pass without LockerHouse being able to contact the User, or without the User contacting LockerHouse, and without the items having been returned, the belongings will be deemed abandoned by the User for all purposes. In that case, LockerHouse will no longer keep them and will dispose of them as it sees fit, depending on the type of items abandoned.
For each day that passes from the end of the rental without the locker(s) being freed by the User until the items are delivered to or collected by the User, an amount equivalent to the price of the locker not emptied will be charged per day. In addition, a penalty of €150 will be charged to the User, regardless of LockerHouse’s right to claim for the damage actually suffered.
Unless the User collects the items in person, LockerHouse will arrange for them to be sent to the User, subject to prior payment of the service to LockerHouse by the User. In particular, the User must pay LockerHouse €25 per item for delivery within Spain and €50 per item for delivery outside Spain. Delivery will be deemed to have taken place when LockerHouse hands the items over to the carrier, and LockerHouse will not assume any risk for their transport.
The items will be returned once LockerHouse has received payment from the User of the amounts due for their delivery (according to the number of items and the destination) as set out in the previous paragraph. If 10 calendar days pass after LockerHouse has notified the amount to be paid in writing without the User having made the payment, the items will be deemed abandoned by the User for all purposes, and LockerHouse will proceed as described above for abandoned items.
Improper use of the lockers
LockerHouse reserves the right to remove any item that does not comply with the rules for the use of the lockers and is a prohibited item. In that case, LockerHouse will be authorised to call the police and report the conduct, as well as to remove the prohibited items.
The User will be responsible for the items they put in the lockers.
In any case, the removal of prohibited items will result in a penalty of €150, which will not exclude the defaulting User’s obligation to compensate LockerHouse for the damage actually caused.
Damage caused to the lockers by Users
The User will be fully responsible for any damage or deterioration they may cause to the lockers through improper or inappropriate use.
The User will be responsible for any damage or deterioration they may cause to the lockers and to other people’s luggage by storing prohibited or dangerous items, poorly packed items or through improper use of the lockers. In that case, the User must compensate LockerHouse for the physical damage caused to the locker(s), the facilities or the belongings stored in other lockers, as well as for loss of profit.
In particular and without limitation, the User causing the damage must pay LockerHouse a penalty equal to the daily rental for each day the locker is out of use, as well as the cost of repair or replacement, which in the case of replacement is set at €1,000, regardless of the damage caused.
Payment of penalties
The penalties detailed in this section will be paid by the User using the same payment method used when booking the service, or by bank transfer to the account indicated by LockerHouse if requested by the User. The User expressly agrees that LockerHouse may charge the amounts established in this section to the card or payment method used by the User when booking the service.
Obligations of LockerHouse
LockerHouse undertakes to keep the locker service active and to make available to the User, during the contracted period, the locker(s) booked by the User in good working order.
LockerHouse also undertakes to resolve any problem that may arise in the use of the lockers as quickly as possible. In the event of any problem, and in order to safeguard the items stored, LockerHouse reserves the right to move them to the storeroom or to another locker.
Limitation of liability of LockerHouse
LockerHouse offers a locker space rental service and is not responsible for the safekeeping of the items. The User is solely responsible for the belongings they put in the rented lockers.
The liability of LockerHouse is limited to the duration of the locker rental period. Consequently, LockerHouse will in no case be liable for any damage to the User’s belongings occurring outside the duration of the booking.
Notwithstanding the above, in the event of theft, LockerHouse has taken out an insurance policy for the benefit of Users that covers losses due to theft up to a maximum of €250 per locker.
This insurance does not cover the loss of money, jewellery, precious stones or metals, watches, plasma screens and technology items in general (LCD screens, GPS devices, mobile phones, computers*, tablets*), works of art, antiques, memory cards or any other medium containing data or images.
Complaints
If the User considers that they have grounds for a complaint, they may do so by sending an email to info@lockerhouse.es.
LockerHouse will try to resolve the incident and find a satisfactory solution for both parties.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These General Terms are governed by Spanish law. The parties submit to Spanish jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising in connection with this Contract.
